Kitty Courbois was een veelzijdige Nederlandse actrice. Ze was te zien in talloze films, daarnaast was ze sinds de oprichting in 1987 verbonden aan het gezelschap van de Toneelgroep Amsterdam waar zij talloze rollen vertolkte. Een ensemblespeler pur sang die de kunst verstond om als geen ander moeiteloos tussen het theater, televisie, radio en film te balanceren.In 1960 studeerde zij af aan de Toneelacademie Arnhem, waarna ze debuteerde bij de Nederlandse Comedie. Bekende films waarin Kitty Courbois te zien was zijn o.a. “het bittere kruid” uit 1985, “op hoop van zegen”(1986), “Twee vorstinnen en een vorst” (1981). Ze kreeg ook bekendheid door haar rol in de televisieserie’s “Het wassende water”(1986) en “Spijkerhoek”(1992) De laatste jaren was te zien in “Alles is liefde”(2006), “Gooische Vrouwen”(2007-2008), “Beatrix, Oranje onder vuur”(2012) en “Nooit te Oud”(2013) Het Nederlands Film Festival wijdde in 1992 een retrospectief aan haar. De Courbois-parel is een prijs die naar haar is vernoemd. In 2010 ontving ze zelf de eerste editie van deze onderscheiding, ze stond toen vijftig jaar op het toneel. Het betreft een doorgeefprijs die de ontvanger op een zelfgekozen moment aan een zelfgekozen actrice overhandigt. Hiemee wordt een actrice geeerd die door haar werk een onuitwisbare indruk gemaakt heeft bij een groot publiek.

My condolences go out to the family. I am so sorry too hear of the lost of a dear loved one to this family. Dealing with this situation can be the hardest thing to face. God's word the bible gives heartfelt and true meaning for ones sleeping in death; Revelation 21: 3,4 says: 3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” God also promises a hope for ones to have life again at John 5: 28,29a : Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out.
