Kevin Keltie

Kevin Keltie was my my beloved Husband and I was his number one priority, we were that to each other. The posts from lots of people conveyed that. Alex also said Kevin was his happiest when he was with me as did many of his friends. Sleep well my love, together always and forever xxxx

Kevin was so incredibly happy in his final years that every memory I have of him involves him grinning ear to ear. He had a wonderful relaxed charm, even when I was trying to argue legal points with him. Assured, confident and happy - a great combination in a terrific friend.

I was shocked and so sad to hear about Kevin. He always had time for his colleagues at meetings. He would always say Hello and was so helpful. He was our procurement guru after Ken left and he delivered first class training in this area. He will sorely be missed by all his European Team colleagues.

Kevin was such a kind, warm gentleman with a great sense of humour. I'll miss our early morning chats at the printer in the Newcastle Office. Rest in peace Kevin.

Although I never worked directly with Kevin, in the last 20 + years we were in the same offices. In the last 8 years we were on the same floor and shared many stories/memories usually as we arrived in the office at 7.15 am. A lovely man with a kind heart and a good friend. He always made me giggle as he cut up his apple every morning! Rest in Peace Kevin, shine bright in the sky, you will be sadly missed.

Like all, I was shocked and so sad to hear the news about Kevin. My thoughts are with you, your family and friends. I had not known Kevin very long but, in the last few months as my line manager, he and I were building a relationship that I feel would have led us to being friends. In the short time I worked with Kevin he was so supportive of me and helpful in me learning new aspects of my job. I can see he was a kind man. Kevin recently worked with a small team in the UK Space Agency and they also wish to pass on their condolences. It only seems like yesterday I was discussing the delights of Northumbria with Kevin over Teams. I'd worked with Kevin on audit for over 15 years. He was a fantastic manager, so supportive, always looking for opportunities to help people develop, and so good at sharing his knowledge. Above all, though, he was a friend. I'll miss our chats - his updates on family and holidays, his reports on the progress of Harry Love, and comparing notes on the TV programmes we were watching. I'll always smile when I remember his love of chocolate bars (he enjoyed selecting one from his desk drawer!), his countdown to 12 o'clock when he could have his sandwiches (well, a couple of minutes to - he generally couldn't quite wait till 12!), and the time we laughed and laughed at Christopher Biggins cuddling a rat in the jungle! I will miss him terribly. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time.

I'm deeply saddened by Kevin being prematurely taken from everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him, such a great loss. He was a kind, warm and brilliant person to work with, and had a cheeky sense of humour. He was always there to offer support and I'll also miss discussing holidays and horse racing with him (and of course his 'one nostril share' as he would say of his horse 'Harry Love'). He will be greatly missed and my thoughts are with his family at this tragic time.
