I only knew Kay for a few months but she was so welcoming when I moved to St. Louis. Always so cheerful. What a sweet soul.

We are so sorry for the loss of your mom, Meredith, she was a delight to be around, very loving and giving friend. We will miss her.

I have been friends with Kay for a long time even though we have lived apart we stayed in touch. I did get to know her inside and out, Her personality was the opposite of mine. Opposites do attract. I will miss our conversations….Rest In Peace my dear friend!

I enjoyed getting re-acquainted with cousin Kay in recent years when she traveled back to Minnesota and Wisconsin, and when we visited on the phone. We agreed on politics and had some interesting conversations. Our moms were sisters so our families visited back and forth during our younger years (1950s-60s). It was always fun to get together at her home in St. Paul (the big city). When she visited us on the farm, she always commented on how good the air smelled. I remember once as a young teen getting a box of her hand-me-downs, and how fun it was to open the box and see two pin-up-style swimsuits. I always admired her stylish clothes. I’ll miss her.

Thinking of you Merideth and sharing your grief. So sad to hear of Kay’s passing. She was a friend to many and will be missed.

Aunt Kay was one of the happiest people I’ve known. When I was young it was always a really big deal when Uncle Ken, Aunt Kay, and Meredith came to visit. It was a time filled with laughter and love. She had a quirkiness that was very endearing It always amazed me when I received one of her hand made cards. The time she put in to create something that most of us just go buy, was a perfect example of her thoughtfulness and her talent and style.

Kay was such a good friend. I got to know her when we both lived in Clarkston, WA. Such a happy person. She had a wonderful sense of humor. I remember she had a hard time hugging me and other ladies but she finally got used to it and became a great hugger. She and I laughed a lot on the phone, mostly about politics. She was quite the artist and made lots of greeting cards and Christmas cards. They were all so beautiful. I will remember her always as the happy red head. She will be so missed.
