With broken hearts we share the news on the untimely passing of our colleague, Mr Karamvir Singh Bisht on the morning of 22 April 2023. Karam, a skillful engineer and a generous colleague, will be forever missed by all his colleagues. You have now gone home to your Creator dear Karam. Rest in Peace.

I came to know about Karamveer's sad demise quite late. It was a shock for me . We worked as colleagues at Nehruplace and he was really a very nice chap and an excellent engineer. May God give Shelter to his soul at His lotus feet.

It was 1980, when I first laid eyes on Karamvir. He was visiting his cousin in our college hostel. Years later he told he looked at my feet and could still describe the sandals I was wearing. He had an eidetic memory for detail. We both loved to read, he introduced me to the sci-fi and fantasy genre and I introduced him to classics. Many, many years later when we met, I was reading fantasy and he was reading the works of O’Brian. I have been writing and editing for most of my adult life, but at this time words forsake me. I loved him greatly. I hope his spirit finds the peace of release. Karamvir, you will not be forgotten.

I first met Karam in the mid 1990's when working on LRT Putra line. I would describe Karam as first class practical engineer with excellent problem solving skills. This was in the pioneer days of precast segmental viaducts in KL A fantastic mentor for all of us entering the segmental world. Departed far too early and will be missed.
