Julie Jones (nee Whittingham)

I was so very saddened to hear the news about Julie. She really was one of the most kind and caring members of the nursing team that I have had the pleasure of working alongside. She always wanted to do the best for her staff, she was always fair in her dealings with people but could be relied on to make those tough decisions when required, she truly was someone we valued very highly for her support and knowledge in the HR team. She was also incredibly funny and could often make me laugh out loud when giving me one of her "knowing" looks. A truly great loss and I feel deeply for her family and friends at this very difficult time.

Julie brought care, compassion and genuine warmth to all she did and she was great fun to work with. She had a way of lifting peoples spirits and making even the most challenging days feel lighter. Julie will be remembered with great affection and missed by so many.

I only knew Julie through work for a short time and I was shocked to hear the very sad news. Being a proud Welshman, she reminded me so much of home. Julie kept the Welshness alive with her voice and her personality. She was always happy to help with anything and when talking things through she made it feel like she had known you all your life.

Julie, one of the kindest, compassionate and caring person I've had the pleasure to work with. She always put herself out to help and support everyone, always made sure that patients were at the centre and focus of decisions. She was valued and respected by everyone who knew her and it used to make me smile when we went on our site visits as Julie would be greeted and hugged by all the staff in every department. I will miss her lots. Rest in Peace Julie x

Sending sympathy to Julie's family for your loss. Julie was an inspiration to me when I first joined the Director on Call rota, showing me the ropes and supporting me expertly and with her trademark calm and commitment. The messages here are a testament to Julie's popularity and impact at the ICB - she will be missed.

Compassionate, supportive and fair are the words I would best describe Julie. Julie always wanted to ensure we always did the right thing for the patients. It was an absolute privilege working with Julie. Our sincere condolences to Julie's family on their loss and our thoughts are with them at this very sad time. It is hard to find the words to describe the impact of losing Julie. She was a kind and compassionate colleague, respected and admired by all who had the privilege of working with her. Even in the most challenging times, Julie remained positive, thoughtful, and supportive, always putting patients at the heart of everything she did. I will miss not only her valued contributions at work, but also our catch-ups and conversations — she never failed to make me smile. Rest peacefully Julie x

Tenacious! The word that best describes Julie. She would never stop supporting her team and doing the right thing by the patients. Sometimes that became a really difficult thing to do but that would not stop her. She was proud to wear her uniform and I am proud to have known and worked with her. My condolences to her family and friends. xxx
