Joyce was a precious wife, mother, family member, or friend to so many people, and we will all miss her dearly. We take comfort in knowing that she lived a full and happy life, enjoying gardening, cooking, jogging, reading, music, and spending time with her family and friends. She passed away peacefully in her apartment at McLean Home surrounded by the love and company of her family. Please share your thoughts and memories of her with us. Memorial Service to be held December 7th at 11 am at the Asylum Hill Congregational Church, 814 Asylum Avenue, Hartford, CT, 06105.

That dreaded but expected phone call from Alex came this morning. Alex, Kristin, David & Karen please except our condolences. I worked with Joyce and continued as friends for many years after going in different directions. What to say about this absolutely loving, strong, ardent friend......she made our lives better for knowing her. The last thing she said to me was “do not feel sorry for me Bonnie, I have had a life filled with love and no one could ask for more”. I am not alone in these feelings let others comfort you in your time of sadness, she would want you all to feel the love.
