Jose has passed away at a young age, after a life full of difficulties. We know he is with the Father now, and is in a better place. Still, we are sad that his life was so short and that he is no longer in our midst. May his soul rest in peace! And may God give comfort in these sad time especially to Jose's family in Africa and to his son Saimon in Peru.

Dear family and friends of Jose, My sincere condolences with the loss of your brother and friend. I know Jose only by face from our ICF community, but these days I tasted the communion in Christ we have by His Spirit. The morning Jose was burried God surprisingly made me read the words Catherine had in mind: "And the end of that man is peace" Ps.37:37. Although I'm fisically on long distance in Bolivia, the unity in Christ I tasted here. Glory to God for His presence in the life of Jose, I pray He comforts you all as He comforted Jose in his hard times and he now may taste eternally. Shalom, Egberdien

Dear family and friends, I want you to know that Jose is my dear bother in Christ. Every Sunday when we encounter each in church we great and have a word of encouragement. Jose surely will be missed, but we know that he is resting in The Lord. So to encourage each other with this bible verses in: 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 King James Version 16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Dear Jose, I am writing this message, yet you are no longer among us. No words to express how I was shocked when I heard that you left this world. It is scary to think about this transaction, at the same time, I felt encouraged to read the statement in the announcement that you are with the Lord. Encouraging as I remember that I first met you at the first time at the International Bible camp in Hengelo and thereafter we had more opportunities to meet in Rotterdam, and once even in Katwijk. Thank you for leaving a warm image of the polite and friendly young man that was in you! You are with the Heavenly Father now. Thank you for being the person that you have been!
