I'm so sorry to hear about John's passing. I worked with John on the National Tutoring Programme and his great humour was such an important bright light. Sincere condolences to his family and friends.

John was one of the best human beings I have ever had the privilege of meeting and working with. He was a true asset to the team, a diligent civil servant with a passion for doing good and making things better. He cared deeply for people with such integrity, warmth and humility. He is and will continue to be sorely missed - this news has brought such sadness, emotion and reflection to the team. Sending love to his family at this time.

I was shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of John. I first met John working on Chapter 3 of the DfE story. He was passionate and committed to everything he did, I enjoyed working with him. Rest in peace John.

I am so saddened to hear that John has passed away. I met him through the Management Practitioner Programme, we were on the same cohort and in the same Peer Group. We continued to meet afterwards. John was so knowledgeable, and always happy to share his thoughts and wisdom with us all. I reached out to him for some support on a Benefits Strategy I was writing and that support was given instantly. We will all miss John within DfE, and I send my heartfelt condolences to his family and friends.

Honestly shocked to hear of John's passing. He was, and will be remembered, as a huge personality who made all who met him immediately feel comfortable in his presence. He was funny, kind and full of love for his family. I am so glad I got to meet him, and work with him. My love and thoughts are with his wife, son and family.
