Olufeyijimi!!! We lost a good one. A truly brilliant and articulate counsel. Working with you was a mix of emotions, but your unwavering dedication, passion, and brilliance always stood out. Ah! the sun set far too early, way too early. As you journey on, may peace and light guide your path. You will be deeply missed. It still hurts to see your desk empty. I haven't gotten used to how silent the office can be without your loud voice. Rest on, sleep well, and find peace in your Father’s bosom.

Jim Jim, I am finding it incredibly difficult to accept this news. It is hard to comprehend. This loss is truly devastating. You were my dear friend, a trusted confidante, a brilliant lawyer, and one of the kindest souls I have ever met. The thought of not being able to talk to you again is unbearable. I will forever cherish the memories. Rest in perfect peace my friend.

Jimi, my Baby Mama, I’m no longer sure why we started calling each other that. I can’t believe you are gone. You were such an amazing person, I have only beautiful and pleasant memories of you. In college and Uni, we didn’t even talk much at that point but now that I’m looking back, you are there in my memories of that time, a core member of our large group of friends that went everywhere together. It wasn’t obvious to us then but you became the glue that still binds some of us today. I am so grateful that by the time we both moved to England, we stayed in touch and that’s when we became close friends. Good times, Jimi! I can’t believe you are gone for real. I hope you understood your impact, you were a real stand up guy. The way you were. So unassuming in the way that you gave of yourself. Being a good friend and person was natural for you. I can’t explain it. You just had a way about you my G, you were such a cool kid. Jimi, thank you for being my friend. I wrongly assumed we would always have the opportunity to be there for each other. Even now, may God bless you. I pray that God took you home when he was most pleased with you. May God forgive all your transgressions, may your good deeds not go unrewarded. May God give warmth to your body in that cold box. May God comfort your parents and siblings, in Jesus name. Rest well Baby Mama.

I'm still in shock typing this, the first fellow Liverpool fan I ever met in my life and we bonded from there. Painful that we are on the way to win another league this season, I know you would have called and we would have celebrated together. I can't make sense of this and would probably never make sense of it. Rest in peace brother!!!

I met Jimi through my older brother, who was his roommate for over five years. During that time, I would visit them in Mississauga every summer and most winters, staying with them at 550 Webb Drive. Those were unforgettable moments etched into my memory. Even in those short visits, Jimi left a lasting impression. His calm demeanor and pure soul set him apart. He had a quiet way of making everyone feel at ease, blending seamlessly into our family dynamics and making me feel at home when I visited. Jimi was a reservoir of knowledge. His range on almost any topic was extraordinary—whether it was soccer, where he could recite the latest highlights; basketball, where he could school you on its history; or TV shows, which seemed like an encyclopedia in his mind. He was a quiet scholar on things he loved. One memory I hold dear is our student days - the moments of collective struggle when we all scraped together money for a simple Pizza Pizza meal. Jimi, true to his generous heart, often made sacrifices so that the group could share in the small joys. The last time I saw Jimi was two years ago, and he was still the same—calm, composed, and kind. As we grieve his passing, I pray for his family to find strength and God’s comforting peace. Rest well, Jimi.

“Jimi Tayo Tiwo,Tiwo Tayo…in a rich man’s world”…I remember replicating that famous song “money money money” by Abba…you would chase me down the dormitory aisles when I sang it to you or made gimmicks as the class clown I was…I would take a few knocks from you when caught and we laughed hard about it…the memories of you from our TRICOL days are evergreen and will forever be cherished…you were indeed a humble, caring and intelligent friend.Rest in peace Jimi!
