Your existence was like a pillar I was holding unto. The fact that you were alive gave me strong courage....I vividly recalled the times you came to kpando , I was just a child but it turned fond memories for me... your sense of humour cannot be skipped, you carried a strong charisma....my dearest president.... Oldman, thanks for the positive impact you had on me. You were instrumental in my dental mission trips to the villages. Your memory is forever etched. Because of you, lives were transformed for the better. My colleagues who you met on these trips remember you fondly. Thank you. You will be missed. Rest in perfect peace. Xe de nyuie

We owe the peace in the country, the stability of our democracy, and our economic advancement to his bold leadership. For these, we are most grateful. His sudden departure is a major blow to us. The voiceless and downtrodden have lost their voice and their champion. We who believe in the ideals of integrity and accountability will continue to champion the cause of the disenfranchised in our communities to light them up and extend to them the hope that he kindled in us in 1979. It is up to us to make sure that his memory lives on and his ideals have come to stay. Through our actions, we thank him for the part that he played in creating a better Ghana.  Rest well and rest in peace, Chairman and President. Rest well, Pan Africanist in the struggle. You played your part and it's now up to us to continue where you left off.

PapaJ: Fearless Warrior! You taught us the real meaning of justice, probity, and accountability and seared it into our head. You fought a good fight. You lifted us from the depths of hell and gave us hope. Ghana owes you a debt of gratitude. The void you left cannot be filled. We will miss you. We love you! May you rest in the bosom of Jesus Christ in perfect peace.

‘JJ do something before you die’! I can still hear those words like it was yesterday. You were a selfless leader. I know many did not understand you nor the decisions you took. but your style of leadership was needed for the era. We are fortunate to have had a leader like.
