Jean Bradley, 90, of Toronto, Ontario formerly of Mississauga, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 10th at North York General Hospital. Born August 10, 1927 in London, Ontario she is predeceased by her parents, Andrew (Andy) William Kilpatrick and Ida Taylor-Kilpatrick, sisters, Mildred Roberts, and Ruth Ingram, husband Art Bradley and partner Don Heughan. Jean lived a full rich life with her family, friends, neighbours and colleagues. In 1946 Jean won the Miss London beauty pageant. By the late 40’s Jean married Art Bradley moved to Sarnia Ontario and enjoyed raising their 3 children: Bonita (Bonnie), Roydyn (Rod), and Barbara. Jean re-entered the working world in the 60’s first in a successful modeling career; then moving to Mississauga, Ontario, living with her loving partner, Don, where Jean enjoyed a 30-year occupation in the travel industry. After retiring from Air Canada Jean continued to be active creating a new life in the movie industry. Jean is survived by her three children Bonnie (John) Haswell of Gainsville Florida; Rod Bradley of Sarnia; Barbara (Bob) Waddell of Toronto; four grandchildren Erica (Lincoln) Smith of California; Bradley Messer of California; Seona Bradley of British Columbia; and Cameron Bradley of British Columbia, and 3 nieces and 7 nephews.

I just found out yesterday (Dec. 11) of Jean's passing. We became fast friends when she joined Transair in the 70's. The stories and wonderful memories are too many to share. She even came to Kelowna with me and helped me find a house in 1999. I will remember her forever and always with a smile.

I really appreciated your mom's sense of humour. I experienced it most recently through Barb's Facebook postings of videos taken while in her Toronto retirement home. They often made me think that I wish I had known her better years before. I'm sure she was a bundle of energy and a very fun person to be around. Barb, you and Bonnie did an amazing job of helping her navigate difficult times. I know you will all miss her very much. xoxo

While technically my "Great" Aunt, she was always Aunt Jean. She absolutely lit up a room. When I was a kid she had the amazing ability to make me feel like I was her favourite person in present company. I do not doubt that she made everyone feel that way.

Dear Bonnie, Your mom was a woman I admired so much. She was vibrant, vivacious and always a stunning beauty. My dad, John Chrapko, always said to die in your sleep was a blessed death. Embrace all your tears because they will brighten her memory. Know that you were loved and your mom will still be with you in your mind, heart and soul for all eternity.
