Gene ahrens

Marilyn & family, From our January 19 calendar devotional, Ben & I read a commentary on Proverbs 14:32: "The wicked is banished in his wickedness, but the righteous has a refuge in his death." For the person who has trusted Christ as Savior, death is only the beginning, not the end. What a glorious thought with which we can comfort ourselves, no matter what our circumstances. We WILL see Christ someday if we have put our faith in Him. Gene's memorial service was beautiful. You both handled Gene's last days with such grace. I'm glad to hear that you are recovered so quickly from Covid-19.

Dear Marilyn and family, So sorry we won't be there for Gene's memorial service this afternoon due to the conflict schedule. We're sending a virtual hug to you. Gene was a gentle, humorous and Godly man. Our deepest sympathies and prayers are with you through this time of unimaginable loss. Our love and sincere prayers are on your way to support you through this. "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (John 14:27)"

Uncle Gene was a faithful man who listened to and followed God's command for him. I know he is in heaven enjoying God's embrace. Sorry I could not be there but we are all thinking and praying for you all.
