Garry loved to tell a good story and we would love you to share any meaningful photos, videos, or anecdotes to capture his story. Garry has a vast network of friends and family love him dearly, and it is no wonder. He had an infectious enthusiasm for life, a broad deep intellect that he applied generously by helping others and a hearty, devilish laugh that made everyone simply feel good.

Can’t really believe that beautiful, irreverent Gary has gone. You welcomed me with open arms and glorious irreverence when I arrived in your hometown. You were a ray of brilliant sunshine and humanity and so incredibly humble. Your wicked sense of humour left me breathless. You were one of a Kind. You will be sorely missed and never forgotten. Rest in Peace my wacky friend. You’ll continue to shine brightly xxx

From Lucy, under Mum's profile x ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gaz was someone who represented so many different things to me. He was warmth and welcome, familiarity and safety. He was at my birthdays, my wedding, my first gigs. He met my children, and called them Ferals. He was part of the background of my life, always there, notable only when he was absent. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- But more than that, Gaz has been an irreplaceable source of friendship, comfort and support for my Dad. When times were so hard, and we had no one to turn to, up popped Gaz, like a wiry and irrepressible maniac, holding out his hand and pulling us to safety. And, clever people that we are, once we found him, we never let him go. It's indescribably hard to do so now. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will always remember him and Dad, their endless jam sessions, giggling in the corner like naughty kids, or gasbagging out the front of the cafe, surrounded by plumes of smoke. I always loved Gaz's laughter, expressed with enormous glee as his shoulders reached his ears. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mate, your departure has left such an ache, I will miss you always.
