Freda Lilian Stephens

I met Freda when she was visiting households in Townhill. She was warm and friendly. She visited me again and left me a letter offering me her friendship. I was touched by her sincerity and her need to reach out to people. I think she was recently widowed at the time. The photos of her and her husband show that they had such a good marriage... I remember how hospitable she was, she also enjoyed meeting for coffe and a chat... She surprised me with flowers and a visit when I was in hospital, 2012. I wish I had spent more time with her, this life is so short and stressful.

Dear Sharon, Jeremy and Kim, I was saddened by the loss of your dear mum, Freda. She was a caring, kind, generous and hospitable sister . She loved her family so much. Please accept my sincere condolences. I've known Freda since 2008 when we met at the Malta Convention and subsequently had a few enjoyable visits to Swansea. Unfortunately I haven't seen Freda for many years but we did speak on the telephone from time to time which I shall miss. Thank you for sharing memories photos and videos with me. This is Joseph Drake of Milford Haven, Pembrokeshire. I am typing this on behalf of my sister Leah who lives in Llanelli. But mainly for my mother, Vanda Husband, who thought so much of Freda and adored her Uncle Mr. Fred Mason and aunt Joyce who lived in Hakin, Milford Haven. Joyce taught my mother piano for many years from when she was 7/8 years of age, and mum kept in close contact with Fred and Joyce throughout the years, culminating in her friendship with Freda and Conrad. Mum was rather distressed to hear of Freda’s passing from Sharon and Jeremy, but thankful all the same to be notified. Freda was a wonderful, kind, caring, loving and genuine human being. Freda left a lasting impression on my mum, who studied the Book of Revelations with Jehovah Witnesses several years ago in Milford Haven and now understands the logical and indeed correct approach to interpreting the Lord’s teachings and path for mankind, therefore testament to Freda’s deep conversations with my mother. One may say that Freda has indeed left her mark. We wish to convey all of our love and sympathy to Jeremy, Sharon, Kimberley and her family and assure you all that Freda Lilian Stephens will never be forgotten. We love you Freda, now and always. I am very sorry for your loss, Freda has been one of our friends, with Betty my wife since she was 17 years of age,I met her with Betty in 1954 together with your father Con.Las time i saw you and Kim you were very young children. We kind of lost touch with your parents when we moved to Scotland in 1963 then to Cornwall in 1970 and to America in 1980, we would only meet up when we would get over there. I lost Betty 5 years ago, so I would meet up with your mother and Carole and Bob when I would get over to Wales, las time was 2019 because of the Covid.HoweverI am very sorry to have this bad news, lost another dear friend,

Dear Jeremy and Kim and family. it was sad to hear about your mum. She was indeed kind and generous, always wanting to adopt my girls. I always loved her zeal for the business ministry and her stories about telephone witnessing. We send our warmest regards Paul, Diane and Vincent along with Gevanna, Ezri (her favorite) and Emma Lei.

Dear Jeremy and Kim and family We were very sad to hear about dear Freda … In a world where nothing is stable forever we find comfort in knowing our loved ones are in the most secure place there is … Jehovah’s memory… and till we welcome them back we have our memories to hold onto… Whenever we returned from Canada a meal at your mum and dad’s home was always a treat … your mum was the best hostess and we look forward to all the new memories we will make in God’s new world … Until then we find much strength in these words “Two sparrows sell for a coin of small value, do they not? Dear Jeremy, Sharon, Kim, We really loved your mum so very very much. She was like a mum to Corinna and myself, when we moved 3 doors away to your parents home in Richmond terrace in 1984 to full time pioneer. Your mum always had us around for lovely meals and checked upon us young girls regularly, Freda really helped us settle into the Uplands and the congregation.She also accommodated our girl friends from other parts of the UK whom wanted to spend time with us. Then when Andrew came into the truth in the Uplands, your mum and dad took him under their wing too. Freda became like a mum to Andrew, and had his family stay in their home the week of our wedding. We have kept in touch all these years by regular phone calls and regular visits to your lovely mum. She is now resting and at peace. Not suffering any more, but awaiting with Con, Trisha, Edna, Reg ,Ray, Annette, Renee, Pauline, Carol, Bill& Iris, and all the many others whom we have lost from Swansea Central congregation for that amazing day of the resurection, where they will all be back as young healthy happy people together with us again. We will all have such a party!!!!!!!!!!!!. What joy and happiness awaits us. It's us, the living, that now need to keep strong and endure, and continue in the time machine, to be there in paradise on earth, to welcome them all back on the resurrection day.
