My dearest sister. Am still in shock at your sudden demise. No illness, nothing to prepare us for the worst. My only consolation is that you lived your life to the fullest and I believe you were truly fulfilled. Never a dull moment with you. I tried to emulate your "happy go lucky" attitude to life but I never came close. I just don't know how you were able to do it so effortlessly. You were never bothered by anything life threw at you. Even when things were going tough, you never showed it on your persona. You just took it in your stride. You were also family orientated and always found ways to resolve any challenges within the family. To me that makes you a worthy head of the Olukoya family.. I will forever cherish the sisterly advice you gave me whenever I brought my problems to you. Sister, nobody can fill the vacuum you left in my books. Your demise is so sudden I still cannot process it. We cannot question God who has called you to glory because He knows best. Sleep well in the bossom of God until the resurrection day. Sun re o. The Executive and the entire good people of Zone 2, Ikangba Housing Estate Community Residents Association (IHECRA Zone 2) commiserate with the family of late Otunba Shade Olukoya over the demise of their amiable daughter, mother, wife, sister and grandmother. We write to express our heart-felt sympathy while we share with you the pains of missing a loved one and the attendant vacuum her physical absence is bound to create, we cannot lose sight of the fact that your late sister contributed so much to the development of Ikangba Housing Estate in no small measures having served as a secretary general, a treasurer and a vice Chairperson for several years. There is no gainsaying that your hearts bleed for grief over this colossus loss, but as Christians, you must rest assured that our Almighty God whom you serve so diligently shall not abandon you in this moment of grief. Our prayers is that the Lord shall grant you strength, faith, fortitude to bear the loss and enough wisdom to see that the loss of a loved one is a terrible experience as well as fuel for a tremendous awakening of faith. Be consoled! May the soul of the departed rest in perfect peace. Amen

Otunba OLUKOYA will be greatly missed by the Ikangba Housing Estate Community.Her contributions to the development of the Estate were numerous, having served as a secretary general, a treasurer and a vice chairperson. There's no single week that Otunba does not put a call to me twice. Very soft spoken,neat in all ramifications and extremely beautiful. On the phone, she will say " hello , OBONG of Calabar" and will give advice ànd suggestions on issues bothering on the development of our Estate. You will notice that long before Covid-19 palava, Otunba had erected 2 wash hand basins where visitors to her compound will have to wash their hands.Her compound, always neat without grasses, the gutters in front of her house, always neat and clean. Her sitting room well arranged .The flowers and lawn well maintained. She always employ worker's to keep her premises in shape. Otunba OLUKOYA was a beautiful soul. I pray Almighty God to Grant her gentle soul eternal rest. Amen. OBONG THOMPSON.

Bye, my dear sister mi, as I fondly called you. I'm so glad you were in my life, a sister and a friend. I miss you already. sister mi, my life was always beautiful because you were a part of it. You were there for me when I needed you most on my daughter's wedding day, you will forever remain in my heart. My inlaw cherished the time you both spent together. They were shocked of your dismissed. It's a blessing to know you sister mi. Thank God for the many lives you touched with your goodness. Even though you are no longer with us in flesh, your memory and the love we shared will forever remain in my heart. TRIBUTE TO OTUNBA SADE OLUKOYA“O death where is thy sting, O grave where is thy victory” 1st Corinthians 15: 55 Otunba Sade Olukoya’s death came as a rude shock to me. The day she died, we spoke that day in the afternoon and exchanged some whatsapp messages and when I heard the following day that she died I could not believe it.I first met Princess Sade Olukoya in Lagos in the year 2000. We used to meet for Business Launch around Ikeja every fortnight. Her arrival at the gatherings used to make the place lively with her smile and jokes. She was always beautifully dressed, very fashionable.In 2002, I travelled back to the UK. I did not hear from her again until year 2007 when my Kabiyesi was elected to become a king and I had to return to Nigeria. That was when I knew that she was from Odogbolu. In fact, she took active part during the Coronation Ceremony of my Kabiyesi. OTUNBA SADE AND HER LOVE FOR ODOGBOLUOtunba Sade loved Odogbolu with passion. She loved to be at the centre of affairs in Odogbolu by planning and organizing events in the Town.She saw to the welfare of the people and was always ready to empower both the young and the old people of Odogbolu and was always ready to share what she had with them. When she was the Educational Consultant at the Federal Government College in Odogbolu, She made sure that she admitted many Odogbolu indigenes into the School.The Odogbolu people will surely miss her.Otunba Sade you came, you saw and you conquered.May her Soul rest in perfect peace.From: Olori .E.
