Ernie was one of the most caring, selfless and knowledgeable people you could ever meet, and he could never do enough for you. His passion for music & sound was evident in all he did, as was his generous and kind nature. He imparted countless amounts of knowledge on colleagues and students alike and his face lit up when he was sharing his pearls of wisdom and seeing people grasp it. A dear friend, colleague and wonderful human being.

Ernesto as I used to call him way back in his home land Gibratar. We were 17 or thereabouts, remembering many days and nights listening to LP's and analizing the music, and talking about life we had the whole world in front of us. At that time Budgie was his favourite rock band and in particular the song Breadfan. Rest in peace my good friend. Would have liked so much to catch up on things.

It is very sad to hear that he is no loger with us. He always helped me with room surveys and never complain about rushing from main hall to Music department so many times a day. Always said "hi" with a big smile. He will be reallly missed.
