Erika Rohrbach

I was so very sad to hear about Erika's passing. Her generosity, kindness and support are the reason I am at FIT, and I am so thankful for her. I will carry her in my thoughts.

As an international student in pandemic ,I could always share my personal feelings with Erika. Erika was such a great person and always trying to help everyone.She listens everyone but really everyone how a mother listens to her own child. She was such a naive and incredible person !!! What an amazing and remarkable person.I feel so lucky that I got to know you!!!!!

It's so sad to hear about Erika's loss, she guided and mentored me when I first started at FIT as an international student. She was always so helpful and kind. She always made me feel so comfortable as a new international student.

It is sad to loose someone you knew. Within my limited interaction with Erika, she was wonderful person. I express my condolences to her family and friends. May her blessed soul Rest In Peace.

I’m so saddened to hear the news of Erika’s passing. She was always so helpful, kind and supportive to all us international students. Her generosity of spirit was a great comfort when dealing with some of the more difficult aspects of life abroad. I’m sure she’ll be deeply missed by all the FIT community. I am heartbroken, She'd always welcome one with a warm smile and sheer determination to help get a job done. One of the nicest people I ever had the opportunity to work with. Anything I can think of saying about her fails to encompass the person she truly was and the contribution she made to enriching the society I had the immense pleasure to be a part of. My condolences to her family and colleagues.

I am truly at a loss for words. I am an international student from the AAS FD program, class of 2013, and Erika is one of the people I always talked about whenever I shared my experience. She was always extremely helpful, patient, and nice. I always left her office in a good mood because as we all know being an international student (and the processes that it entails) is not easy. I kept in touch with her after I graduated every once in a while and now that I'm planning to move back to NYC I was hoping to visit her. My condolences to her friends and family. And thank you, Erika, for being such a great asset to the FIT community and for making me, and as I read other international students, feel so safe. You will be missed. Rest in peace.
