Elsa, what a special, inspirational person you were!! My last conversation with you was just 2 weeks ago. We spoke for 45 minutes, sharing so much! What will always stand out is how proud you were of your children. Even though I have never met Brian or Kath in person, I feel I know you! I cannot believe you are gone Elsa. I was so honoured to be your banker and friend for many years. May you rest in peace. Sam and family, my sincere condolences! May you find strength in all the beautiful memories she left behind

Els was such a special person. I used to get so excited when she would fetch Kath and I in her convertible from school, thought we were the coolest “girlies” in town. She was an amazing person to spend time around, always with a great story or joke! Feel very fortunate to have spent time around her over the past 20 years, growing up with Kath. She will be greatly missed and I am sending all the love to the family and everyone else that was lucky enough to know Els xxxx

To think we never saw each other since Varsity days and yet it feels like yesterday that we were all together. My thoughts are with your loved ones and may you (the little conservative girl from Tukkies- your first words to us in the Dev) rest in peace.

The concept that I’ll not be in the presence of your lively mind and quirky humour again is an acute loss but my memories of you will last, Els. All love and strength to Sam, Kathleen and Brian as they face their future without you. RIP Margs xx

Elsa was a wonderful friend. We spoke often. I still can’t believe Els isn’t going to call me. We shared news and debated life. Els was intelligent and had a wicked sense of humour. She was so generous and a wonderful godmother to Tess. Els always said she could negotiate any terrain in heels. Always glamorous. A beautiful person inside and out. Sam, Brian and Kath I send my condolences and love. Els my beautiful friend rest in peace and fly high.
