Eileen Petts

Eileen was a virtuous woman and I got to know her well in Brixham. Very wise and knew her role very well to David. May you rest in peace.

So grateful for Eileen who was my Sunday School teacher in Rainham, one of the branch Sunday Schools run by Bethel Church, Dagenham. Sending my condolences to David and the family. So grateful for the hope we have in Jesus!

Extremely sorry to hear that Eileen Petts death. Please accept my sincere condolences. No one can replace her place, but almighty God can comfort your hearts. May her soul rest in peace. I remember Eileen as very friendly, smile face, and very pleasant lady in Mattresey 1981 - 82

I have happy memories of being welcomed into your home in Basingstoke and then later, after Anthea joined the church, and I married Anthea, she was happy to welcome us both and, in fact, Debbie and Sarah were bridesmaids at our wedding. She ran the children's creche and patiently put up with demanding children (including my own) and helped to make the New Forest camp such a spiritual but fun-filled success. Later as matron of Mattersey she oversaw the campus with a light and loving touch so that we all felt a sense of belonging. And what about those cream teas at Minehead during the golden conference days in the late 1980s? Yes, she was a wonderful person who communicated Christian love and practical concern. Thank God for her life.

Dear Eileen. Beautiful heart. Beautiful lady. Beautiful friend to my dear mum. You will be missed and we can’t help but feel sad that you are no longer with us even though we know you are dancing in heaven. My thoughts and prayers are with you David and all the family. The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine upon you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you, And give you peace. X

Eileen was one of the first people to come and have a conversation with me when i first went to Brixham Church. She was so warm and welcoming, she made sure I felt at home straight away. After that it wouldn't matter whether it had been a week since she'd seen us last or months, she would smile and reach put her hand to welcome us as though we had made her day just by being there. She was such a caring and kind person, and such a faithful Christian. I always valued her wisdom and prayers. Eileen, I know you wanted to return home and I'm so pleased you are with your saviour now. Until we meet again, we will all miss you very much xxxx

Hannah and I remember Eileen with great affection. She was a faithful member of the local Assembly, serving in many practical ways with great grace. She was a happy person and others were happy in her presence, and her life was testimony to the goodness of God.
