Marika was a french "titi parisien" loving dance, fashion who decided to move to Australia were she lived for the last 30 years. She grounded a family with John and later on Archibald arrived being her beloved son. She succeed a PhD and since was making research "out of the box" and out the institution despite illness and being on side of what is attended in the social space. She was endearing, willing to always go further evidences and common knowledge, asking much but also giving much. we already miss her and as each of you were important to her, we've thinking you would appreciate to pay a last homage to her to we can let every one present and online read it. Thank you so much for your kindness, your thoughts and to have been part of Marika's life Ronie the french sister

Repose en paix, Marika. Thank you for the many times we spent together, for sharing your perspective and insight on life, the world, the body and its health. My condolences and best wishes to Arch.

I’m very grateful for the friendship that Marika and I had over the past five years. We have shared a frustration for the limitations of society and also a vision for the way people can move back towards being an integral part of nature. Marika always challenged me intellectually and I had to dig deep to grasp her unique and disruptive analysis. I believe that in the last period of her life she was beginning to feel understood and connected with like minded people. Thank you Marika and rest in peace. With love Naomi

Knowing Marika for the past 3.5 years, I was profoundly impressed by her exceptional knowledge of human-nature interactions.Marika's ability to analyze and communicate complex concepts with clarity was truly inspiring. Her work bridged the gap between scientific research and everyday understanding, making profound insights accessible to all. Her dedication to improving the human condition through the lens of our relationship with nature was groundbreaking and will continue to influence future generations. Beyond her PhD professional accomplishments, Marika was a kind and compassionate individual. Her warmth and generosity were evident in every interaction. She always took the time to share her knowledge about diet and biology, offer support, and connect on a personal level. Her influence on my professional development and personal growth is tremendous. Marika's legacy will live on through her work and the many lives she touched. While her physical presence will be greatly missed, her spirit and contributions will continue to inspire and guide us. I am honored to have known Marika and to have been a part of her journey. My thoughts and prayers are with Marika's family. May you find comfort in the memories you shared and in knowing that Marika's impact on the world will never be forgotten.
