I am shocked to learn of the passing of good friend, Dr David Eccles Nii Laate Pessey David n I met at Wye College (University of London) Wye Ashford Kent in 1977 wher both of of us were Research Graduate students! He worked in Animal Nutrition n especially with pigs! I worked in Agricultural Marketing Research I went for field studies in Gjana Nigeria The Ivory Coast n the Cameroon for 1 year When I returned from my field work in 1980, Dr Pessey had graduated with a PhD from Wye College n had gone back to teach Animal Science at the University of Ghana Later on he joined the ongoing Revolution in Ghana led by Flight Lieutenant Jerry Rawlings He eventually left Rawlings n his gang n got involved in Ghana politics I lost contact with Nii Laate but I followed his politics in Ghana At Wye College I was very close to David We went to hang out in Canterbury on weekends He was a heart warming young man I named one of my three boys David Daniel Simons David after my friend Nii Laate Dr David Eccles Nii Laate Pessey May you Rest In Perfect Peace till we meet again God bleed with Abundant Love !
