Dieudonné Kone

Dieudonné was quite simply, as his name describes, God's gift. A faithful Christian servant, he dedicated his life to honouring God - especially through his serving of vulnerable people through his ministry with International Needs in and around Bobo-Dioulasso. In the words of International Needs UK chair of trustees, Tony Tyrell, Dieudonné 'lived his life well', and his thoughtful leadership and deep-rooted compassion for others had a transformative effect on countless lives. As we mourn, we also give thanks for his generosity of spirit and infectious enthusiasm for sharing the gospel in word and deed. As we grieve, we find comfort in the words of 2 Timothy 4:7-8... 'I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness.' We believe that is true for Dieudonné. We invite you to share your condolences, memories and encounters with Dieudonné, as a tribute to a great man of God.

Whilst we didn't have the privilege of knowing Dieudonne, after reading about him in the latest IN magazine, we wanted to send our sincere condolences to the family on his passing. He sounds like a remarkable, talented and dedicated man and we can only begin to imagine how hard it must be to live your lives without him, but may you know God's comfort and kindness as you grieve his passing and learn to live without him. It was a pleasure to meet Dieudonne and the Kone family when we had the privilege of visiting Burkina Faso in 2012 for the opening of the medical centre and to see firsthand the work of La Bonne Nouvelle school . We send our love and condolences to the family. x

It was a real pleasure and privilege to have met Dieudonné in person and over video link in these last few years. His steadfast love for God, his family, his community and for the vital work he set his hand to do, and which he did so diligently, was evident to all. He will be so missed by his wife and children, his parents, his siblings, his work colleagues and friends but he ls parted from us for a short while having spread the "aroma of the knowledge of Christ" 2 Corinthians 2 v 14

Dieudonne was a very hardworking man with a passion for the La Bonne Nouvelle School, Medical Centre, Evangelical Ministry and all that concerned the people of Bobo Dioulasso and the wider country. It was a pleasure working with him. Dieudonne, rest well with the Lord. You ran a good race. May the good Lord continue to guard your family and prosper the Ministry in Burkina Faso.
