I want to send you all my love at this sad time. Devon was an incredible person who was an amazing support to myself during two very difficult periods in my role as a Stockport Headteacher. I had the privilege to attend Devon's very moving and poignant funeral. I already knew he was a special person through his work role but his funeral showed how remarkable he was in every aspect of his life. I feel very lucky to have known him and our school benefitted massively from his calm, thoughtful advice and his lovely laugh to reassure me that we were taking the right actions. Thinking of Devon and his family. I worked with Devon many years ago when he was just starting out with the complaints team. Devon had a calming effect, as he took everything in his stride. Always pleasant and joyful to work with, with a ready smile. Nothing was too much trouble for him and he helped put perspective on some of the complex cases. We wish to share our heart felt condolences on the sad, sad loss of Devon. We have had the pleasure of knowing and being supported by Devon for a number of years. We are not sure our words can do justice to what a wonderful person he was. The epitome of calmness, wisdom and patience. He always made us feel our queries/ questions - of which there were many - were valid. He always made us feel heard, listened to and valued. He always made us feel he had time for us when we know he was so, so busy. His laugh was infectious and his legacy of kindness will never be forgotten by us as it meant so much on so many occasions.
