Deb Ford

To our wonderful Deb, It's quite difficult to put into words just how sad I was to hear this news. A lovely, kind and sweet lady who showed such strength and determination throughout her battle. I first met Debs when working in the clinical governance team as new colleagues, I will always remember Deb for the way she made me smile and how welcomed she made me to a new team. I loved hearing about her weekend antics with Cherilyn or her family and Frank. I liked hearing the camping stories. Debs was always passionate about two things, her family and her friends and she believed in living life to the fullest. I soon learn that Debs was so passionate about working for the NHS and WorcsAcute in particular as it had been such a big part of her story and she wanted to give back. That meant that she gave 100% to all of the roles she was. She was a diligent and hard working PA and an absolute pleasure to work with. She also did so much to raise money for the Breast Unit and I can't even remember how many times she'd come to my desk selling raffle tickets or advertising cake sales - I loved that about her. Over the next few years I continued to work with Debs in various roles whilst she worked in professional development and patient experience and it was always a pleasure. Debs was approachable and friendly and I'd often pop to see her so we could work something out. I'll miss popping to see her or having a natter as we were making a drink in the kitchen, no matter whether I passed Debs on the stairs or in the car park she'd always shout hello and check I was okay, that was her character she was extremely friendly. Debs was also a big part of our 4ward advocate family, volunteering to be a 4ward advocate and a culture change agent in our Trust. She was absolutely perfect for the role as she loved the organisation so much and she worked so hard from the very beginning to help embed our behaviours and culture change across the organisation, including it in the induction for our student nurses and persuading the teams around her to get involved. She was always determined and supportive. If I had to describe Debs I'd describe her as sunshine in a person, she was a pleasure to be around and always so so kind to me. Losing one of our own is never easy, and losing Debs in this circumstance is even harder. I know how hard she'd planned her send off but we will celebrate Debs life when this is all over - just the way she wanted us too. Rest easy now our Debs, we will miss you. Sending so much love to all of her family and friends at this difficult times xxx

Devastated to hear this very sad news. Deb was an amazing and courageous friend. Her strength and positivity was inspirational. Saddened at this time we will be unable to give her the tribute she deserves but we will .... very soon. Love always Lisaxxx

So sorry to hear the news. I use to love it when you came down and helped with the tea round in our times of need. Your positive attitude and smile will be missed by many.
