Deaconess Marian Opeoluwa Alakuko

Deaconess Marian Opeoluwa Alakuko, a woman with simple heart. She lived a life of total abandonment in life and ministry. A woman who was does not give in to class or segregation, who does not hide her feeling like some people do especially women in position of authority. She was a strong pillar to her husband, Pastor Gabriel Olugbenga Ayotunde Alakuko and her children Richard, Korede, John, Issac and Paul. Aunty Opeoluwa would always prepared food for her husband anytime he is on official assignment or traveled for ministrations. Little wonder my teacher is would not eat outside no matter how far the journey is to Ilesa. She was just good to a fault. Mummy Alakuko's impact in the lives of seminarians can't go unnoticed. Every Student Pastor that came in contact to her would always felt a sign of relief whenever such a person would leave. In all my contacts and relationship with her, hardly can I go to her house without her sharing her ministerial experiences. She had shared the good, the bad and the ugly of her husband's ministerial journey with everyone coming to Seminary who also has in learning. Mummy Richard will never call a black book to be white. Anytime she sees that anything is going wrong either with seminarians or at the chapel my Mummy would not look _"Uche's face"_ to address the issue and once she was done talking, Mama Alakuko had moved on. Mummy Opeoluwa Alakuko's demise may be painful to some but it is comforting to some because even at her tender age she had achieved what an older woman wouldn't have achieved. Above all she achieved in life and ministry is that Deaconess Marian Opeoluwa Alakuko had Jesus. Adieu Mummy Alakuko!!!
