Dawn was a loved and respected Unison Convenor and Staff Side Chair, as well as an active Operating Dept Practitioner at George Eliot Hospital. She was also a local Councillor and did a huge amount of charitable work across Nuneaton. She was a great force for positivity, change and engagement - always coming from a position of kindness and consideration towards her colleagues and always looking to make sure they all had the best experience and opportunities possible. Dawn had a huge heart and her honesty, enthusiasm and dynamism lit up any room.

I was shocked and very sad to hear such devastating news. I have known Dawn for a very long time. You had a heart of gold, always a listening ear, had time for everyone. You always went out of your way to help everyone. You lit up the office when you walked in, great sense of humour. I will miss you so much, my thoughts are with your family at such a difficult time. I was so shocked when I heard , you will forever remain in our hearts . Dawn , you had such a big heart and soul. You taught me a lesson that will always direct my HR career, when you said "Always remember that every policy you write , influence or advice on applies to you too." Sounds obvious, but you sometimes forget this a HR professional. And so now I thrive to always have my HR hat and my employee hat on simultaneously. You will be greatly missed Dawn xxxx

With fond memories of Dawn. She was a great supporter of Nicaragua and a true and committed internationalist. We first met through my work on Nicaragua - in fact at a UNISON Conference - and then also became personal friends. I really appreciated all of Dawn's help and support and her care for others.
