Russ aka Giffer 2 Well, Giffer 1, we’ve had a long haul together battling with Waste Management issues! That term the Giffers (coined by Russell Price in our last EA days, as the “Old Giffers”) sort of stuck with us! During these 25 yrs as buddies, you’ve always been there, for work and personal issues - like a “permanent fixture”, so to speak. Years ago, I named the biggest local oak tree “Dave”, it’s in the wood where I walk Charles the dog. Anyway ‘ole pal I could go on and on... . most of all, I’m a better person for having known you. RIP Deepest condolences to Pam, Richard and Philip.

So today, we laughed we cried, we have so many wonderful memories of you, you were always happy and helpful, with a dry sense of humor and very suportive.in times of need. Hope we gave you the send of you deserve, you were the best dad in law I could ever wish for, love Rach,,Phil's other half x

i have known Dave for many years, as a colleague and a consultant but foremost as a friend. Dave was a lovely man, always helpful, funny and kind. He was always generous with his time and his knowledge, he will be very sadly missed. x

So sorry to hear the news of a top bloke leaving us. I met Dave when he was at the Hazardous Waste Unit in Walsall. Such a genuine fella, happy to give of himself to anyone who he came across. Able to relate to many across the spectrum and find a way to persuade those who needed persuading, without the fuss that is involved now. A friend to many and will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.

A lovely man whom it was my honour to work with for many years. Always supportive, friendly and a great laugh. The world is a poorer place without you mate. :-(

Really sorry to hear this and my condolences to the family. I met Dave when I first moved down to work as a new Environment Officer at the Kidderminster office in 2004 when we dealt with waste and water incidents together. Dave was such a kind hearted person who always had time to pass on his knowledge and experience with a smile. Loved his laugh and sense of humour. Rest in Peace Dave.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Dave. My thoughts are with those he has left behind. It was always an experience to go out with Russ & Dave who were so inseparable. Learnt lots from Dave about waste regulation and most importantly about the best butty stops in the Black Country. RIP Dave and thank you for everything
