I was fortunate enough to have done courses with Dave both in person and online. He managed to get his students to look at the skills they had and build on them. Dave encouraged us to be confident in our abilities and supported us wherever he could, gently nudging us to be better versions of our current selves. Online courses with Dave were not much different, except that we didn't make him any tea. He was educating, thought provoking and inspirational. Thank you Dave, you will be missed.

Oh death where is thy sting and victory. I attended two of Dave's courses. It was a liberating time for me after being a stay-at-home mum. He made us feel that there is nothing we cannot do with a little support. He made us feel that we can fly

I have participated in most of Dave’s courses and he has taught me two big words in depth, self awareness and empowerment. My dreams have come true. I am so glad that i have met Dave and other students from his courses. I don’t know if i will ever meet someone like him again. He was a great Father and a tutor! I will miss him!

I will always remember Dave as a passionate tutor, he was a joy to listen to and had lots of stories to tell. We had a really good relationship at Capel Manor and he came here a lot, he loved a strong tea and biscuits. I will really miss him and send my sincere condolences to his family. Dave certainly made a difference to people's lives. Thanks Dave.

There’s a line in the film, toy story where the toy soldier says I will never leave a soldier behind. I think that captures the kindness of Dave he would never leave a student behind made sure everyone was and felt included and valued. He nurtured our minds and emotional health. I missed Dave in between courses when there were life experiences that reinforced my learning or left psychology questions. I always felt impatient for the next course, to share it with him and get his invaluable insight and perspective with guided learning. Always leaving us with the thing he loved to give, food for thought. Dave was passionate and cared about the wellbeing and learning of all people The WEA can take on new tutors to teach the topics that Dave taught but none can teach the courses that Dave taught He will be forever missed. My heart and thoughts are with you at this sad time and I hope nothing but the best for you all. Amal

Sincere condolences to Dave's wife and daughter. I am sure he will be sadly missed. He was a very inspirational teacher and obviously loved teaching mature students.

I am so sorry to hear of Dave's passing my condolences to his wife and daughter and family, he was such a brilliant teacher very honest with humor had great knowledge and experience. I started my first on line course with him on the 18/03/21 and learnt a lot on counseling from him. Dave told us he will be doing another course from the 19/05/21 on mental health awareness C2422601 which i tried to enroll for but couldn't. He was a lovely kind Man with great insight. Rest in Peace Lovely Dave. I am so sorry to his family, friends and colleagues for their for loss.

Firstly my deepest sympathies to Dave’s family. To say I’m devastated by Dave’s passing would be an understatement. Because of Dave and how much he believed in me I have chosen to change my whole career from beauty therapy to emotional well-being mentoring for children and young people. I hope to do you proud Dave. I wish I had known you for longer. You were honestly one of the most genuine, caring and helpful people I had ever come across and I’m grateful to have known you for the short time that I did as you’ve made such a big impact on my life! You will be greatly missed by us all that were blessed to have known you! Rest in perfect paradise xxx
