Darren was an integral member of our electronics team since he started here in 2005. Darren was renowned for his exceptional electronic skills and unwavering attention to detail, which he consistently demonstrated in his work. He was a valued member of our team and will be sorely missed by all of us who had the privilege of working alongside him.

Always ready to listen, to smile, to somehow find the time to squeeze another job in, to have a bit of a laugh about something... Darren was the first person I'd go to, to talk geek with about the latest component that had caught my interest (and he usually had something more interesting to share). With the many teaching and development kits he played a key role in developing, Darren played a huge part in the education of so many students. Way too soon, and quite a shock to hear. My condolences to his family and friends.

I was so shocked and saddened to hear about Darren's death. It is impossible to exaggerate how helpful and professional Darren was. He was always approachable and generous with his time and his knowledge and he had a positive impact on so many colleagues' and students' work and projects. I learned a great deal from Darren over the many years I worked with him he'll be a terrible miss to us but most importantly to his family and friends who are up most in our thoughts.

Like everyone in the School, I was hugely shocked and saddened to hear of Darren's death. A more conscientious, professional and kind colleague one couldn't hope for.
