Dan Lapierre was a professional drummer from Halifax, NS, Canada and travelled the world playing in rock bands. He was a multi-talented instrumentalist and could knock out a riff on pretty much any instrument. Dan eventually settled in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and became a much-loved music teacher in international schools when he wasn't entertaining audiences from the stage. Dan left us too soon in April 2025. He will be missed by his students, colleagues, and his family and friends all over the world - especially in Canada and in Malaysia.

Mr Dan, you have been a great inspiration to our son at KTJ. You helped him discover his passion for music, especially the piano. Our son went from zero to Grade 8 at the age of 14. Quite a feat from what I was told. Thank you for being the guiding light. RIP.
