It is with huge sadness that we have heard that Dave Williams, CPN, who many of you will have known via MAPPA/MARAC as well as assisting with MH advice to your cases, passed away peacefully on Monday this week. As you may know, Dave was diagnosed with a brain tumour and despite huge efforts to get him cutting edge treatment in Europe, the tumour was incredibly aggressive and the treatment did not have the effect that was hoped for. Dave continued to lead an active and fulfilling life despite his health difficulties and continued to offer support and reassurance to others, despite facing considerable challenges of his own. He will be greatly missed and our thoughts as a PDU are with his wife and young children. Please do take some time out if needed.

I have lovely memories of Dave being a supportive, compassionate and knowledgeable colleague during our Probation meetings together. He was so down to earth and kind. Thinking of Dave's family and sending lots of love. Sleep tight Dave, love from Laura. xxx

You were a font of knowledge and such a bright, humorous light in the workplace Dave. I will always remember you approaching me after a MAPPA and recommending a book to purchase to help work with a particular individual. I actually, "borrowed" this from the PD Pathway team and still have it at home. It'll remind me of you now. Rest in Peace and sending all my love to you and your family x

Dave, the amount of people that came to say goodbye at your funeral on Friday was a testament to the lovely man you were. You were a great colleague, always so helpful, knowledgeable, and funny, which was definitely appreciated during long meetings. You will be missed by so many, and my thoughts are with Victoria, your beautiful children and all your family, friends and colleagues. Rest peacefully Dave. xx

You made the most difficult multi agency meetings bearable, Dave, due to your sense of humour and ability to get on with everyone. You will be so missed by all your colleagues and also all partnership agency workers that were lucky enough to work with you. My thoughts are with your lovely family and your many, many friends.

Dave I have such fond memories of working with you in MAPPA and MARAC - you would always make me giggle despite the heaviness of the meetings. You really were a wonderful person and I am deeply saddened that you, your family, friends and colleagues have been robbed by this tragic loss. Rest in peace xxxx
