My lovely brother

So sad to hear of Colm's passing. He was a big gent who always had a smile on his face and time for a chat. Condolences to his wife and family. R.I.P Colm.

Ashlene, Matthew and Pearce thonging of you all, words can't express what a loss Colm will be , he was a best friend & work colleague,with a great big heart as you know, he would have done anything for anyone. Colm will be sorely missed but never forgotten our thoughts are with you all at this sad time

I’m so sorry to Ashlene and her boys for the sad passing of Colm. He was one of the good guys. Full of spirit and laughter. He constantly made me cringe with his memories of me in my younger years in the railway. “An elephant never forgets” he always said. You’ll be sadly missed but never forgotten my mucker. Rest in Peace Colm. I will always have fond memories of you. Someone who took the time to have a proper conversation, took an interest in my hobbies, always asked about my running and asked about my football trips. Someone who I always came to for advice before my many trips to Donegal, Sligo, Mayo and beyond. A true gentleman who had so much love for his family and the railway. Will be missed especially by your family but also your railway family. May those closest to you gather the strength and take some comfort from the many kind words about you. Till we meet again!

Deeply saddened to hear of the death of Colm Joyce (whom I did not know personally.) My family and I were active supporters of his campaign to retain and upgrade the Derry - Belfast rail link. Little did I know then just how indebted I would be to Colm Joyce when I later availed of the rail service, over months, to be with my sister in the City Hospital Cancer Unit. I have no doubt that the lives of countless others were made less harrowing by the drive, commitment and selflessness of Colm Joyce. I offer my sincere condolences to his wife, and their two sons, and to his parents Anne and Willie, his sisters Annemarie and Sharon, his brothers Peter and Liam, and his niece Aine.

Extending my sincere sympathies to Colm's wife and family at this very sad time for them. Acknowledging and appreciating his critical role and powerful, timely action in alerting citizens to the potential closure of the Derry-Belfast rail line and his long standing commitment to Into The West and its successful campaign to save the line and bring the old Waterside station back into use. What a magnificent legacy he has left his family and us all.
