I am very sorry to hear of his sudden departure, and wish his family strength in these difficult times.

My condolences go out to the family. I am so sorry too hear of the lost of a dear loved one to this family. Dealing with this situation can be the hardest thing to face. God's word the bible gives heartfelt and true meaning for ones sleeping in death; Revelation 21: 3,4 says: 3  With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his people. And God himself will be with them. 4  And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” God also promises a hope for ones to have life again at John 5: 28,29a : Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29  and come out. I only learned recently of the tragic news. My sincere condolences to the family and friends. I worked with Christian in Rotterdam some 16 years ago.

I am deeply saddened by the loss of a dear colleague. Christian was a man of honour and I could always count on him to share his honest views and perspectives on life, issues and people. Will miss him lots. RIP, Christian.

While getting to know Christian through our work together, I learned it was a deeply caring person, especially for his family, and loved sharing time with family and friends. Cherish your wonderful memories of him.

Christian, I still cannot believe that you have left us so suddenly. Life is not fair and this should not happen! I will miss your passion and energy and authenticity. Susanne, Lukas and Christoph, I am so much feeling with you as I also lost a loved Person some years ago. My deepest condolences to you! Christian was a great collegue and buddy for me more or less from my first days at Shell. We managed severeal great projects together while he was in Supply and I in Distribution. I learned a lot from Christian. Also some legendary Christmas Market visists with our teams are fixed in my memories. But also in the last years when I was not working in the Shell Office directly Christians desk was always a place to go for me each time I was at "Pentahof". Exchanging the latest Shell News as well as professional experiences vice versa....I will really miss that and you as a person and colleague-friend. Jan Engel
