It's still hard to believe that we've lost such a great human being. I'm heartbroken by Charlie's passing. He was a wonderful friend and colleague, always caring and bringing a smile to everyone's face. His absence will be deeply felt by all who knew him.

Charlie it was so hard to hear the news about your passing. I know it will have left your family, friends and work colleagues truly devastated. On a personal level I am still trying to process the news. My career highlight was leading the bp and M&S expansion program from 2012 to 2017, and put simply you were one of the true stars of that team. The passion and pride you had for every single store opening was truly exceptional and I have so many fond memories of each and every time I attended a new store opening - you always had it nailed. I also remember your texts to me 3 times a day with the sales numbers for the first week after opening....put simply you were excellent at your job but a real gentleman who always made people smile. I also recall the many dinners and drinks up in Scotland even after I moved on - it was always brilliant to spend time with you - you always had such positivity for life. It was a privilege to have worked alongside you for that period, and an even bigger privilege to get to know you as a family man who was passionate about Celtic, work and friends. You will be missed by so many people - it was a pleasure and RIP Charlie.

Such a sad news and still so difficult to believe, feels like an end of era. all my time in bp I knew Charlie , and always knew he is there to support for any silly question I may have. Charlie has thought me passion for the brand and loyalty for company he worked for. will never be forgotten, sorely missed. Rest easy...

I'm deeply saddened to hear about the Charlie. During the time we worked together on numerous store openings, navigated countless changes, and attended many conferences, I came to know Charlie as not just a colleague but a true mentor and friend. Their unwavering dedication, insightful guidance, and infectious enthusiasm left an indelible mark on all of us. Whether we were opening a new store or tackling a complex problem, Charlie's wisdom and support were always invaluable. I'll always cherish the memories of our time together. Their legacy will continue to inspire and guide us. My deepest condolences go out to Charlie's family and loved ones during this difficult time. He will be profoundly missed but never forgotten
