Rest Well Uncle Charles. I thank God for your life, you have always wanted me to bring the kids to kisumu. We were to go to mariakani together, but all this didn't happen. I believe God had his own reasons. I pray that God grants us the chance to come see mama and fullfil your wishes. May you rest well in God's perfect peace.

Mzee Oduor's passing has left a 'stinging' hurt in our hearts. Indeed Mzee Odour has left a gap that will never be filled. He referred to my late father "ndugu yangu'. He called me, 'Kijana yangu'. Mzee Oduor was very relational; full of love for family; consistent, authentic, absolutely real to who he was and how he lived his life. Full of integrity, yet pure at heart. He touched my life and many others in myriad of ways. Mzee Odour was so humble. He was so servant hearted. There was absolutely nothing he wouldn't do to help someone in need. He was a gifted leader with many accolades and accomplishments. He was unique, and yes one of kind. I watched him interact with mama and his daughters, his sons (sons in-law), grandchildren with so much love, humility and grace; a gallant example to emulate. He has immeasurably touched many, as loving husband, a father, a leader, a friend, mentor, and through his benevolence and philanthropy. Mzee Oduor has left a rich influential legacy. "He ran with perseverance the race marked out for him"; "he finished his course and kept the faith". May he with "the crown laid up for him in heaven" hear the words "well done faithful servant".

We have lost a father figure in the family, a man with a pure heart, a humble man, Dad you believed in a consultative leadership, never imposed things on people, who will welcome in-laws to this family?
