Caroline Nweze, fondly called "MamaShed" was born into the Umuonyia clan of Etiti Ngwo, Enugu Sate Nigeria, in 1920. In her youth, she married her late doting husband, Samson Nweze-nde and they were blessed with four children, Shederack Nweze (late), Blessing Eneja, Juliana Nweze and Stanley Nweze. As a devoted Christian, Caroline participated actively in the women group of Methodist Church, Etiti Ngwo. She made her pursuit of God in the Christian faith a priority. Mama's agility and strong-will were well exhibited in the way she took her farming and retail business seriously, while also supporting her family in all the ways she could. Her resilience was clear in all her life's pursuit. Mama never gave up on anything she set her mind on. Caroline loved her family and took time to build special strong bonds with them including relatives whom she often visited. With her bold and witty nature, she created beautiful memories and lived a happy fulfilling life. She is survived by 3 children, 9 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

In all the years that I knew you, there’s not a single time we met that you failed to make me laugh. Your smiles sparkled every time. Always cheerful, always happy, always living. You were adventurous, always working hard and never entertaining a dull moment. I know you lived a full life, but a part of me wishes you lived some more, at least long enough for me to tell you how much I miss you. I do miss you grandma. So long!

Ogboo, I am sad to have to say goodbye. I do sincerely miss you. We laughed so much with you, yet I miss so much more of your laughter. We told so many stories, yet I miss so many more. You were a constant source of warmth, good cheer and courage. Yes, courage. That is one word I'd alway remember you by. Without failing, you demonstrated the courage to venture, to reach out, to help, to comfort, to provide, to learn and to love. Thank you for everything, mama.
