Dear Luigi, I was heartbroken when I heard the sad news. My condolences to you and your family. I met Carla while I was working as a Croatian Mother Tongue teacher at ISL Surrey. Such a lovely person and exemplary colleague! I always admired her composure, flexibility, tact and creativity during our literature meetings with many mother tongue teachers. I also remember her beautiful costumes from the International Day. I will cherish the times I spent with her. She left us too early. Mirela

Dear Luigi- Carla was an amazing woman- thoughtful, kind, intelligent, creative and so warm. I remember the first time I ever met her. I was visiting ISL Surrey and she was running a mother tongue meeting. It only seems like yesterday. She impressed me immediately with her tact and her whole approach to her team as she skillfully drew out creative and rigorous approaches to their next poetry unit. And of course she herself was a poet. She had something of the poet's spirit about her- her sensibility, her perceptiveness. I have a permanent reminder of her artistic side on the wall in my office. She will be greatly missed and I am so so sorry for your loss.

Drea Luigi, ilyan, Noah and myself have been deeply impacted by the loss of your beautiful wife. You made such an impact on Ilyan and Noah’s math is amazing because of you, your patience, your understanding and passion. I have been privileged to teach with you and I saw just a glimpsed of the great man you are to your students and your family. My deepest condolences.

As a professional , Carla made a lasting impact in the languages & literature curriculum design. As a colleague, Carla was collaborative and discretely diligent. Dear Luigi, It is hard to find the right words, this is so heartbreaking! I had the privilege of working with Carla at ISL Surrey, she taught me se much! She will always be remembered for her calm, patience, and kind demeanour when teaching her students and helping her colleagues. I will be keeping you and your family in my prayers.
