Carl (Callie) Deon Venter

Our friend and colleague Callie was a seasoned telecommunications professional with more than 31 years experience. After matriculating from Rob Ferreira high school in 1985, he completed his N6 National Certificate in Telecommunications in 1990. His career then started in Telkom until 1997, after which he moved to Siemens Telecommunications, Coriant, CJA Telecoms and ultimately back to Nokia. He held different positions throughout his career varying from technical to roll-out and project management. He will be missed by all who knew him and will be remembered for the impact he had on people's lives with his calm demeanour. Rest in peace Callie.
