Dear Dady, I pray that you are in Heaven reunited with Nana and hope the both of you are proud of what you have achieved and the great Family you brought up and cared for. I'm sad that you never got the chance to meet our son Lucas. I will tell him all about you when he grows up and make sure he knows his Great Grandfather was truly a Great man. I ask that you look over and take care of Lucas from Heaven and protect him from all that is bad. We will always remember you and love you. Dodo and Dijana.

Dear Dadi, I keep telling myself to stop crying because I’m being selfish that I’m crying over losing you. Deep down, I really am so happy that you are with Nana and all your friends again. You would always tell us how all your friends had already left you and you didn’t have anyone left. I hope you’re up there with them now laughing, eating, and catching up! I know Nana would have been waiting impatiently to see you. The reason for my tears is that I will miss you so so much. I will miss holding your hand and helping you up the garage stairs of our house when you would come over. I will miss your hugs and kisses. I will miss how proud you always were of me when I graduated uni or got my registration. I will miss your story telling. I will miss you showing me your beautiful flowers and garden designs. I will miss your phone calls- they were always at the most inappropriate time and you would never take a call decline as a no and keep calling!! Dadi, thank you for teaching me about the special bond and strength of family. For making me believe that I can make my dreams come true by working hard and being disciplined, like you were for your whole life. I have kept the photo frame you had above your bed of my sisters and I with you. I will keep it forever and ever and show my children one day too, that I had the best Dadi in the world. Please watch over me with Nana from above. Protect us all and give us the strength we need today, and everyday to come. If I have half the strength you had in your life, I know I can overcome anything. You were strong in faith, mind and body. That is what I aspire to become. And as you would say to me in the morning; Sabah al khair wil nour il warda And when I would return from travelling; il gua Today I say to you Dadi, il gua. I love you and miss you so much.

Dear Dady, The worst part about this is, the fact we didn’t get a chance to bid you a proper farewell and tell you how much you meant to us. I hope you are in a better place now with Nana. I am 32 year old now and my whole life, I had not received a better gift than the gift you gave me when I was only 8 yrs old. It was a bible for children. It meant so much to me back then and it has meant so much to me for the last 24 years. It made me a better Christian. For me, that just shows how wise and what a great person you were! You knew exactly what you had to do to give your grandson a gift he will never forget. A gift that he will pass on to his family and to the next generation and so on. Thank you Dady and Rest In Peace ❤️✝️

Dear Dady, Tomorrow is not a sad farewell but is a celebration of you leaving to heaven to be with Nana, your friends and loved ones. Remember when you told me that your friends and loved ones are all gone now the time has come for you to be with them. We will miss you so much Dady and I will miss those phone calls after I came back from my interstate trips saying “el Gouwa Meno”. You made us feel like our success was your success and knowing you were so proud of all of us is a blessing. Words cannot describe how much I will miss you .....All I will ask for is that you and nana pray for all of us from up above
