Bruce Wallace

I would like to thank everyone for your kind words on Bruce. He was one of a kind and is sorely missed by myself and the family. Bruce you are at peace now and no longer in pain. I miss you more and more each passing day. Till we meet again. Rest in peace my love.

Bruce was one of those people you were glad was working on the SKA project. He was always a source of expert technical advice, and wisdom. He will be greatly missed.

I did not know Bruce well, but I was always impressed by the depth and quality of his work. He was superbly knowledgeable and remained patient with us newbies who were aksing silly questions. My condolences to his family and friends, who will surely miss hom greatly.

From the very first moment I met Bruce in my then new job on the SADT consortium back in 2015, I could tell straight away that he really was a great man. Due to our locations I didn't get to meet him often in person but we spoke most days online and when we did get together we always had a proper catch up and took time out to chat about our lives outside of work. He was a very supportive colleague and person in general, I will always be grateful for his patience and his guidance. There were many times he took the time to sit and explain things to me so that I could have what I needed to do my job. He was someone you could rely on, especially with all the travel we did, Bruce was always someone that you felt safe with and could go to with questions. He also made me laugh, a lot and when I think of him I genuinely smile. I was really sad to hear that Bruce is no longer with us, and I want to pass on my thoughts and love to his family and friends, and all of Bruce's colleagues. He truly was one of a kind and I am so glad I had the chance to know him and work with him.

Bruce was a top professional! Bruce was always an encouraging fellow, enriching discussions and top insights with a note of humour. He will be missed.

Bruce first introduced me to the SKA project well before the many years we worked together for the SADT consortium. He was a true professional and gentleman. I will always have very fond memories of him especially his beaming, mischievous smile fronting his wry sense of humour. I’ll regret not listening to him play his famous bagpipes (or will I?) Rest in peace Bruce.

Bruce was an excellent colleague, a real expert in his field and a good friend. He always threw himself into things with 100% commitment. I'll miss him.

Bruce was a professional and a gentleman. Full of knowledge and encouraging to his colleagues. I enjoyed working with him in the early days of the SKA project. Rest in peace Bruce. You will be missed. X
