James Brian Nicholson was a loving husband, father, father-in-law, step-father and grandfather to many. He was for many years the conductor of Kippax Brass Band amongst other bands and played the cornet. He passed away on the 26th January 2021 and will be greatly missed by all. All memories would be appreciated, especially photographs you may have. Feel free to upload them here for us to share and remember.

My uncle Brian who I I have found memories of going on hols to skegness miners camp and meeting up every xmas at my nan's. Lost touch for too many years.Rest in peace and say hello to my dad xx

My sincere condolences to you and your family. Brian and I go back years. We were young deputies at LedstonLuck Colliery and Brian introduced me to brass band and particularly Kippax Band. I've posted a photograph on Facebook with Brian and me playing in his Oomph band. Great memories. Tony

Has a 16 year old and just left school to go UG @ Kellingley we could not have wished for a more supportive man in Brian, Has you can imagine we were young / worried and a little scared of what lay ahead for us but Brain took us under his wing and gave us the knowledge / confidence and support needed, thank you so much miner RIP old friend.
