My deepest sympathy to Brian's family. I have hope that God's word inspires for those who have fallen asleep. Jesus told a man to "not have fear" and we can read this and other accounts that instill courage. My deepest condolences to Brian's family, friends and his NHC 'family'. My time working with Brian was brief but it was immediately apparent he was a lovely person & a down to earth guy. He was intelligent, dedicated and passionate about NHC and the people who work there. I also had the good fortune to meet Brian's family - my heart breaks for them, I hope they can find some comfort in their memories of happier times.

Although I had only a few opportunities to interact with Brian, I was always aware of him as a pillar of positive energy at NHC and that helped define NHC's spirit. Recently, as he left the Seattle office in the evening in one of his visits, I was the last one in the office, and he came to wish me a good night. Although the words exchanged were few, his tone was so warm and his expression so positive, that short interaction stuck with me. It was palpable how happy and hopeful Brian felt with taking on bigger responsibilities with the US part of the company. And I felt equally happy and hopeful to feel that he was there. I feel that in a big way he remains here, leaving a hugely positive mark on everyone.

I have so many wonderful memories of all the projects, professional friends, thoughts, feelings, goals, that we shared over the years. I started working with Brian in the early 1990's and hoped that our paths would continue to cross over the coming years. Brain was the face of nhc to me, but he was more than a professional associate. He was a guy whose family included his wife and kids, his friends and those he worked with. I'll always remember his smile and all the help he gave me over these 25 years. I offer my most sincere condolences to all of his family. He will be sorely missed.

My heart goes out to Brian's family. I have had the opportunity of meeting them all and working with some of them on Mount Seymour. The loss is tragic and if I can help in any way I will do so. I will reach out privately. I spent many fun hours team teaching with Brian at Mount Seymour. The pizza parking lot will not be the same without him. I will miss my friend.

I will miss my old friend terribly. We shared many fine conversations and a few tense ones over beer, challenged each other over modeling methods, spent many days getting wet working on models together, compared each other's performance athletically with healthy skepticism, agreed to disagree on a few things occasionally, and found a level of respect and appreciation for each other that is rare in this world. Sad that you managed to depart this world so soon. Know that in my heart of hearts I would have fought any foe with you at my side. I tip my glass to you, Brian, my brilliant friend and colleague.

To my former nhc colleagues and Brian's family: I am so sorry for your loss. I am lucky to have known Brian and to have been able to learn from him while working at nhc twenty years ago. He was inspiring. His high energy, strong professionalism, unwavering work ethic, and ability to command respect were well-balanced with still being a fun guy to be around, and always grounded in his dedication to his family. A very rare and special combination. He will be missed, and remembered fondly.

I am saddened to hear about the tragic loss of Brian. I worked at NHC for only a few years, and not much directly with Brian, but he still made a genuine effort to welcome and encourage me at the beginning of my career. He had a great smile that was consistently shared with others, a fun and active personality, and a driven and respected professional. I pass on my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and colleagues. I can only hope and pray that his loved ones can eventually find some peace in knowing that the goodness and spirit of Brian carries on in all those he loved, influenced, raised, and worked with.
