MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO MAMA PHILLECE KALUKI AND THE FAMILY OF THE LATE BONIFACE MUTINDA KALUNDA I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing on of Boniface Mutinda Kalunda, which occurred on Wednesday 31st 2021. Boniface was the ever present, pleasant, jovial and likeable colleague at the Pensions Department where he worked in the last 4 ½ years. To his peers Boniface was easy going and would gladly take on extra work to relieve someone overloaded with pension claim files. To those who worked under him, Boniface was the ready listener with a penchant to train and counsel officers joining the Pensions Department. He was the main facilitator at the induction of One Hundred (100) newly recruited Pension Officers who joined the Department between November, 2020 and January, 2021. To his seniors Boniface was the public service polished officer full of respect and civil discipline. We all depended on his ease to relate with persons of diverse backgrounds as we went through the noble task of paying retired officers their deserved benefits after years of public service. It is not lost that Boniface himself was only months shy of retirement. We are greatly pained at his loss as a Department. Mama Phillece and children, mourning the loss of a loved one and especially for the close family is a low moment. Though words of encouragement may not suffice during this period, it is my prayer that you shall find comfort in John 6: 44 - 45 where the Lord Jesus tells us “No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.” I commiserate with you, Mama Phillace Kaluki and your dear children Erastus, Miriam and Lilian as you mourn your loving husband and dad. Equally I seek God’s Grace for the rest of the family members, relatives and friends whom Boniface Mutinda interacted with closely and left a positive mark in your lives. On my own behalf and on behalf of the Pensions Department, I pray that God may grant you and family the fortitude to bear the loss. My Big Bro when I called your phone on 30/03/2020 at exactly 9:45 am and you told me " Micah I will call back" I had no glue that was my last day to hear your voice!!!. Bro I can attest that you were a great and humble man. Go well till we meet again. To the family may the almighty God take care of you during this difficult time.
