A Docteur Ès-Lettres in Linguistique from the prestigious University of Montpellier (1975), a Yogi with over 50 years of experience, author of "Le Créole Mauricien: Phonétique et Phonologie", a hardcore businessman, but above all a bigger than life character, a carefree entertainer, a joie de vivre like no other, he was a wonderful husband to our mother, a fantastic dad to Ravi, Bella and myself and a pillar for Dyanna, Sharon, Vashish, Sonali, Yash, Sara, Akshay and Avinash. In my experience of Bhai Dada, he was always fun loving and easy going. Not only did he light up the family parties/gatherings, he also offered the possibility of yoga to us and many others...teaching us the benefits of pranayam and always nudging us to join the classes. He touched our lives in various ways. Very grateful for all that he taught us...An inspiration in the way he lived and also in the way he chose to pass on...

Chacha Bhai was the heart and soul of parties. This will be my lasting memory of him. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, I remember waiting a little impatiently for Chacha to get on the dance floor. Watching him made me want to boogie. Will also treasure the funny memory of him taking Bella, Nuvin and me to school under a massive towel as a makeshift umbrella. A legend, a comic and bon vivant. Rest in peace Chacha.

In a calibre of his enlightened heights , Bhai danced through life with featherlight Angelic wings developed through his detachment from himself. Never was he afraid to express his heightened awareness of being one with his Creator. Free from the opionions of others his authentic manner in which he conducted himself was unique . Bhai you left a huge gap which will be difficult to replace. May all your loving family find peace on knowing that their Dad was special. Uncle Bhai was an amazing human… well read.. entertaining and admirable.. As a child he use to make me laugh he was so humerus.. I remember him doing yoga when he used to stay with us in Cape Town… I also remember how he used to walk around the house to get exercise! When I was 12 we went to visit Mauritius for 5 weeks so we were able to bond with him! What a lovely man he was …. I will always remember him.. Somebody who showed us love and care. He brought us to spend a night with him and Rumilla to a great resort in Flic en Flacq giving us Yoga tips and breathing techniques. My lady souvenir was one month ago when he came home for lunch enjoyed all that I cooked felt relaxed and had a nap on the sofa. My family loves him as he came spend few days with us in Robinvsle. Made friends easily with our friends. I loved his coolness and his jokes. Always in good mood and ready to party and dance…Till we meet again Mamoo
