Anoushka Boone

I have only just discovered that there Anoushka passed away. I was her neighbour for a number of years and was lucky enough to share Michael and Anushka’s wedding day. I’m profoundly sad that she has left you so early Mike, and I hope that she lives in your heart forever. My kind wishes and hope that you’re well. Mark.

Anoushka was a very special person, dedicated to her passions and life. It was an honour to know her and work with her. I will miss her greatly.

Thank you. You gave your knowledge and warmth to many. Rest.

Dear Mike and family. I was saddened to hear of the passing of Anoushka today. I have fond memories of those early years in London and the mischief we all used to get into. She has inspired and helped thousands over the years and will be remembered for her tireless efforts. Sending my condolences to all the family and loved ones.

Reading all these beautiful messages is a testament to this very special lady who touched so many of our lives in such a positive, and certainly in my case, transformational way. I started the teacher training course with Anoushka at the exact same moment when my life had just hit rock bottom. She encouraged, nurtured, and inspired me throughout - her passion for movement, her compassion for her students, and her ability to communicate and educate with kindness and humour. She was always supportive, keeping us all on track, even when things got really tough! She taught me that we are teachers not instructors, and that our job is to empower and inspire our clients to become stronger and move better; and I draw on Anoushka’s teaching every time I teach my own students. Her passing is a huge loss to so many, and my heart goes out to Mike and her family especially at this time.

I just cannot believe this has happened Mike, I am so sorry! So much of the teacher I am today is down to Anoushka's wonderful and inspirational knowledge, which she never shied away from sharing with me. I have always considered myself so lucky that she took me under her wing during my training. She even got me a job in the studio where I have been working ever since; I will never stop being grateful to you Anoushka. I am so happy that the last time we got to see each other was for a catch up over a coffee...you could just talk to her about everything, she always had a kind word of wisdom. So many people will miss you Anoushka as a teacher and friend. Sending you love and strength Mike.

I’m so sorry to hear this very sad news. Anoushka was a passionate and inspiring teacher. I’ll always remember her classes at POTS. A huge loss for the Pilates community. Sincere condolences to Mike and family.

I have only just learned this terribly sad news. I first met Anoushka and Mike when they opened Pilates in Motion just off Pitshanger Lane. They and the other Pilates instructors there helped me enormously with lower back pain and I worked remotely with Anoushka through our lockdowns. I had not been in touch for a while so this comes as an enormous shock. My heart goes out to you, Mike. I am so terribly sorry for this great loss, for you, for all the Pilates in Motion students and for the world of Pilates.
