This memorial page has been set up to honour the memory of Anne. Here we can share and collect memories of Anne and post our condolences in a place that is easily accessible to everyone. Anne was a devoted mother and grandmother, a kind and endlessly courageous woman. She was a generous and loyal soul who always had a compassionate ear, especially for the disadvantaged. She had a gift for seeing humanity in everyone and was a fierce protector of the vulnerable. She was an adventurer and independent thinker whose curiosity to explore, know and understand still burned strong in her 7th decade. She was important to so many more people than she realised, and her loss has been felt by many. The Mogensen family would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who assisted with Anne’s missing persons case. We have been deeply touched by the care and support during this period when we have suffered the tragic loss of our mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. In particular we would like to thank the detectives and police men and women of the Lake Illawarra Police service who worked tirelessly and showed commendable discretion and respect during a difficult time. We are also grateful for all the gifts, flowers and sympathies received from friends and family, these have been very much appreciated and helped us to know we are not alone in facing the reality of this situation. Anne found joy in vibrant colour and as such we would love to see invited family and friends dress in the full colours of the rainbow for her thanksgiving service.

Fifty six years later, I remember Anne as an interesting 12 year old, something of a 'Court Jester' in the classroom, aware of and interested in everything that was going on, and often needing to be 'invited' to return to her own desk and her own work. I remember Anne with fondness. She is, no doubt, enjoying now the fullness of life with her loving, compassionate God of Surprises. My thoughts and prayers are with you, her family and friends. Marea

Anne was such fun at school. My memories are similar to those of Margaret. She was the one to introduce me to Agatha Christie novels. She has a fun with our french teacher Miss Russo. Hiding in the broom cupboard during class. I think Miss Russo knew she was there ! Anne would spring out. Of course we would laugh but not for too long when Sister Jacinta was summoned. She gave us happy memories. R.I.P. Anne

My clearest memory of Anne at Our Lady of Dolours High School Chatswood, was watching her read Agatha Christie books under her desk during classes. She was so bright she could read a book and pay attention in class at the same time! Anne also liked to play practical jokes on her favourite teachers for e.g, she once put an alarm clock in the classroom cupboard and set it to go off in the middle of a French lesson. Anne made the lessons so much more interesting and FUN for her classmates, and her teacher! I thank her for that. REST IN PEACE ANNE.
