Anna Hejka was a dear friend to all of us and a truly irreplaceable person. As Chairman of the DasCoin Board of Directors, Anna performed her duties with passion, professionalism, wisdom, and commitment. More importantly, she applied the same kind of care to absolutely everything she did during her life. She was the embodiment of an inspirational leader and will be missed dearly by everyone who had the privilege to know her.

I first met my cousin in Gdańsk Poland in July 1974. We were 15. Ania and I became fast friends, and yet we were such different people then and indeed throughout our lives. The details are really irrelevant now. Throughout our lives since then we have been intimately connected: as family, as friends, as sisters. I’m devastated by her death, beyond what words can convey. I wanted to be at her funeral more than anything, but time and distance prevent me from coming to honour who and what she was to me. Ania, know that I loved you and love you still! Your death has left an emptiness in my life that will never be filled, for it was your inimitable uniqueness that makes it impossible to replace that which is irreplaceable. Know that you will always be in my heart, and that I will honour your memory. Kuzinka, you rocked, and were taken from us too soon. Love you!❤️
