Alastair Fairweather

Alastair jr. was thirteen when he and his Mum (my cousin Judy) visited us here in the States. I remember how attuned he was to all that went on around him; always alert as we drove around the city, listening, sometimes asking questions. I made him a braile version of a rubriks cube. He was passionate about trying to solve it. James if you are reading this - my heart felt condolences on the loss of your brother.

Condolences to Alastair's family. I worked with Alastair in 2016. He was a pleasure to be around. An interesting and charismatic sole. I am grateful to have met him.

My best mate at Imperial. Can't believe it. ... got him into the guitar. We DJ'd together on Imperial College radio, we went to gigs, got into fights (too often - dont tell!) he came to France and stole the show when he played with my band in the early 90's. Can't believe he ended up getting a PRS, he was always a Strat man. It's funny because my go-to guitar today is a PRS. Take it easy Al. Keep on playing the blues mate. RIP

I was shocked and Sad about this news. My Condolences to Alastair's family. I have many memories of Alastair, having worked very closely with him from FSA days at 2nd Floor Canary Wharf to FCA Stratford .Miss him greatly and I always mention him to friends and family about his extraordinary abilities to get the work done .God Bless. I was fortunate enough to meet and work with Alistair at the FCA in 2017. Learned so many things from him. Such a charismatic and inspiring person. Great colleague and admiring personality. My sincere condolences to his family.

I was fortunate enough to end up sitting two desks along from Alastair for a year of my time at the FCA. Despite being in an entirely different department and team, Alastair and I would chat daily. He’d humour my attempts at jokes, and we collectively did the Friday quiz. He’d call out the questions and we’d all struggle to cobble together answers. He loved a good story and setting the world to rights. I’m thankful to have known him. My thoughts are with his family and friends.

My Condolences to Alastair's family. I have very fond memories of Alastair, having worked very closely with him throughout my 3+ years at the FCA. I was always inspired by him and will miss him greatly. The sort of person I always enjoyed telling people about. RIP Alastair.

".....When its over, I don't want to wonder If I have made my life something particular , and real. I don't want to find myself sighing and frightened, or full of argument. I don't want to end up simply having visited this world". I am humbled by hearing all that Alastair achieved in life and simply visiting this world was never in his agenda. I worked with Alastair for a year, when I first Joined the FCA. I feel shocked and sad to hear of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family, of whom he spoke so dearly and was so very protective.
