It was an absolute honour to have known Alan. He was a man of his word, generous to a fault and more caring than anyone We’ve known. He will be sorely missed. He was more like a brother than brother in law. Stay strong Joan, love to you and all the family Ian & sue xx

A truly wonderful kind hearted, intelligent caring gentleman who I will miss very much. So many good and happy memories at darts and dominoes matches. He once won the dominoes pairs knockout with Harold Barlow and countless trophies for both darts and dominoes. His sincerity was unmatched and his loss will leave a huge hole for all those who knew him. RIP my friend and your company up there will be immensely appreciated and enhance the blue skies! X

I remember Alan and his brother for all tithe hard work he put in for young lads playing football,out there in all weather for these boys. Such a lovely lovely man taken far to soon my sincere condolences to Joan and their lovely family xx
