We all knew Alan as a kind, generous spirit who lived live to his fullest and gave his best whether he was climbing, biking or snowboarding. His playful nature endeared him greatly to all children in his orbit, whether on trips, at parties or gatherings with friends. He will be dearly missed by many people who - like us - feel lucky to have had Alan be part of their lives. We will provide more details on a potential gathering & party in his honour in due course, but in the meantime, Alan, rest in peace.

We became friends thanks to our 'dodgy' hearts (as you use to define them). You were always positive about our condition and upcoming surgeries. You gave me courage and support before and after the surgery with a text, a visit, a slice of cake! You helped me so much and I was looking forward to support you too, recover together and have a laugh about doctor Bas...! Chris and I will miss you lots my dear valve buddy! Our thoughts are with your family and friends. Rest in peace dear Alan!

I knew Alan through climbing in Chiswick over the last few years. He was a really nice guy, and made me feel super welcome in the community when I was going through a difficult time. He will be missed at Ravens and at the pub afterwards. Wishing the best to his family and friends.
